    Seller was fortunate enough to be part of the striking ceremony at the U.S. mint at West Point, NY in January 2002. The coin was packed by the mint on Mar 12, 2002.  Seller then bought this 2002 US Military Academy Bicentennial Proof Silver Dollar on the first day issued on March 15, 2002 honoring the 150th birthday of West Point.  Therefore, the quality of this dollar is "first strike" meaning it was struck while the dies were fresh and most clear.
