The Horizon Gong is a unique and beautiful version of the traditional Chinese Wind Gong. While still maintaining the outstanding crisp clean sounds inherent in a Wind Gong, the added ring of raw metal on the outside not only looks beautiful it also helps to slow the time to crash and slightly mute the highest of tones while producing additional overtones.

Weighing in at 22lbs, this specific Gong has a center note of C# +45 (Octave 2) and is flush with overtones. This gong is the complete package - a rare combination of both deep tones (center) and lighter overtones all in one. It has a volume that really fills the room. Very easy to play, the deeper center tone is quite meditative while the mid and outer area can range from light complimentary overtones to a full out, very controllable crash. An immensely versatile gong, this one would be great as a stand alone gong or as part of a larger set. Recommended Mallet: Deep Tones Mallet
